Space monkey. For the Greater Good design. This design is a tribute to the apes who became pioneers in the early days of the space program. In the name of scientific discovery, they were sent into experimental flights that pushed the boundaries of what was possible and helped researchers learn how living beings responded to the extreme conditions of spaceflight.
Description
They endured stress and physical strain, and some ultimately sacrificed their lives in the process. Their role in the history of space exploration is often overlooked, but their experiences contributed to the knowledge that helped make later human spaceflight possible. This shirt honors those animals and remembers the risks they bore during humanity’s first steps beyond Earth.
